If you wish to contribute information to any page of the Old Plymouths website, please do so.

If you have a '49 - '52 Plymouth, and wish to be included in the REGISTRY, please include the following in your FIRST message to me:

1. Your Full Name (and your wife's name, too if you want her name on the site):

2. Your e-mail address: (please double check your email address - I get quite a few bad ones and have no way to contact you if you send bad info).

3. Your location/City:

4. Year, Model and Body Style of your car: (and its name if you have named the car).
Please don't just tell me it is a 2-door - is it a club coupe with a rear seat, a business coupe with no rear seat, a 2-door sedan (fastback), a suburban (station wagon)? These are all "2-door" models. If you don't know what you have, tell me and describe the car - maybe I can help.

PLEASE INCLUDE AND DOUBLE CHECK THIS INFORMATION BEFORE YOU SEND IT TO BE SURE IT IS BOTH COMPLETE AND ACCURATE.

The most difficult thing about maintaining this website is just getting the above information. I will not add names to the Registry without all 4 items. The whole idea of the site is to enable people to hook up with others geographically close to them. This can't happen if any of these items are not known. If I sound frustrated here, it is because it is driving me nuts! I can't quite figure out why I should take time away from my cars to answer questions from strangers who won't give this basic information.

REGISTRY POLICY- I have a lot of problems with the Owners Registry. It seems that a lot of folks will change their email addresses without updating their registry entries. Therefore, I reserve the right to delete owners from the registry and their car photos if I send two emails that are returned as "no account #" or "recipient unknown". Some of the names have been on there for a long time and I know for a fact that they have sold their cars. Same problem, same action. A little help, please!

Just to be safe, I am asking all members of the registry to send me a confirmation of their email addresses once a year and their continued ownership of the cars listed/shown on the website. Thanks for your support in this. I don't want to delete anybody and won't without trying to contact them first, but if an email to them comes back twice, I will assume that they and their cars are "lost" to the site. Please include your name & location on this email so I can find you in the registry.
- Bill

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS - I have also received numerous messages where their e-mail address was incorrect and I have not been able to reply.

Once your name is posted on the Registry, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure it is kept current. If I get complaints from others who have tried to reach you at an invalid email address, I reserve the right to drop names from the Registry (and corresponding photos from the photo pages.)

**********************************************************

PHOTOS - If you wish to send photos of your car, you will have to attach them to another e-mail addressed to oldplymouths4952@comcast.net since they cannot be sent via this website's e-mail. Sorry 'bout that.

In order to handle the volume of photos I receive, I have had to set some rules:

1. I can accept most photo file formats but prefer jpg. If I can't read your photo file, I will let you know. I reduce most photos to 320x240 before posting them. Sometimes this alters the quality of the image. If you want to maximize the quality of your photo, set it up as 320x240 or 640x480 and look at it, then work with it until you are satisfied, before sending it.

2. You must submit BRIEF, (1 paragraph) captions for your photos. I have run out of clever ways to praise cars without their history or knowledge of their special characteristics.

3. The photo pages are for cars, not for somebody's girlfriend in a bikini. If you, your wife or kids happen to be in the photo though, that's OK.

4. If you want a separate page for your car, send 5 or more photos. Try to avoid sending the same 'poses' as everyone else if you can.

5. If you don't have your own scanner, you can send 3x5 or 4x6 photos by 'snail mail' and I will scan them in myself. If you want your photos returned, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and I will return them. Email me and I will send you my street address.

6. I reserve the right to edit your information - hey, its my website and I want to keep it compact and a "family" website.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you don't have a '49 - '52 Plymouth and want to make a comment about the site, the above information is, of course, not required but it would be nice to have your name.

************************************************************

The website will send you an automatic generic reply which I will follow up later with a specific reply. I don't guarantee a personal response to anyone who does not supply the above info.

If you do not get my automatic (generic) response within 2 hours, please send your message a second time. If still no response, use my email address of oldplymouths4952@comcast.net and complain a little.

Now, before you send any information, be sure to send everything I asked for above. Otherwise, don't bother sending it. I just don't have time to track you down to fill in the gaps. You will never know how much time I have wasted over the past 7 years trying to gather this info in 2nd or 3rd email attempts. Sorry to be so crusty but I really don't have the time any more - the site has grown so big and people who won't send all the info on the first time just take the joy out of my labors on the website. Can you sense a little frustration here? Bill
