As work on the outside of Boop's Coupe progressed, so did the work on the inside. The complete inside of the car was primed so that it had wasn't so darned depressing to work with - amazing what an attitude change that makes.
The woodgrain on the dash was beyond restoration so I decided to just paint it to match the car. Since the metal under the woodgrain on the instrument panel was originally chrome anyway, I decided to chrome the radio block-out and glove box door. The Betty Boop face on the glove box door is just a large refrigerator magnet.
I also restored the steering wheel, using a Dremel tool to open the cracks enough to fill and then filling the cracks with POR-15 epoxy putty. A bit of sanding and primer made the wheel as good as new.
Seat belt anchors were installed, bucket seats and seat frame built also but that is a story for another page.
