OK, OK - So I said this site would be for 1949 - 1952 Plymouths only.
But, every once in a while one comes along that deserves to be shown. And, besided, I have to keep in good with my buddies that I go to car shows and cruises with, don't I?

Bill Pursel, of Dunkirk, Indiana, shares these views of his 1937 P3 Coupe. Although Bill's car doesn't fit the rest of the cars shown on this site, it does have a 218 engine, making it a closer relative than it appears at first glance.

Joe Solazzo submitted this photo of a 37 Plymouth used in the Clint Eastwood movie "Honkey Tonk Man". Thanks, Joe.

George Conboy of Rochester, NY is looking for a good website that will give him some support on his '53 Plymouth Blevedere. The license "number" on this little number is "BELVEDERE" - nice touch.

This beautiful '48 Plymouth is the pride and joy of our good friends Delbert & Joan Christensen. We often drive together to car shows and cruises. We even went to Hawaii with these folks and drove all around Oahu in a little rented red convertible. Once, while returning from an early spring car show in southern Utah, we got caught in a snow storm - the '48 windshield wipers don't work (period) and we had a lot of fun coming home over some of the passes. Who says old cars aren't exciting?

Delbert and Joan's 48 at a cruise. Behind it is Del Wiburg's 42 Nash, now considered a Mopar since American Motors, predecessor of Nash was a Chrysler label when it was discontinued. The 3rd car back is Bill & Betty's 'Lucy II'.

Markus Pfeiffer, from Norfolk, VA, couldn't find another appropriate website for posting a photo of his '49 Chrysler coupe so he shares this photo with us. This is a great looking car, and welcome here. Sorry that the photo isn't as good as the one he sent to me. - BKW

Jason (??) visited the site and contributed this photo of a 50 4-door sedan parked at Baracoa Beach in Cuba(west of Havana). This photo should probably be on the 1950 General Gallery but it is getting quite large and, since we don't know the name of the owner of this car, we decided to put it here.
Jason tells us that there seems to be a 50's Plymouth everywhere you go in Cuba. If you are having trouble finding parts in your part of the world, can you imagine the problems the owner of this daily driver has finding replacement parts? And, can you imagine the rush to buy up these old cars and bring them to the US and elsewhere when/if the trade restrictions with Cuba are ever relaxed.

Here's a bunch of photos that will break your heart - On a recent trip to Denver, Bill & Betty Ward stopped in Cheyenne to visit an old friend (and her cars). This lady's husband passed away a few years back. Prior to his death, he collected old Mopars, hoping to restore some of them when he retired. Like many of us, he put off retirement and died before getting to it. Their children have chosen the cars they want, but haven't yet claimed them. They just set there, rusting away. They are not blocked up or covered in any way. Probably the least valuable of the whole bunch are the 3 '52 Dodges that are the only ones parked on cement. Only 4 of them are for sale at this time. There's a goldmine in parts here, not to mention some quite rare cars. I can't identify all of them but they are all Mopars.
Photos to be added!

Mike and Kathy Patterson, of Westcliffe, Colorado have some work to do before their 50 4-Door Sedan matches the beauty of their 1970 Dodge Super Bee 440 Six Pack shown above. As a retired Daimler-Chrysler auto builder, Mike should know his stuff. After looking at this great car, can there be any doubt?

Bob & Jeanne Bowen, of Fort Myers, Florida, had a rough summer in 2004 with all the hurricanes and such - but they still had time to finish this beautiful 1953 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan. What a fun idea!!

Brian and Jeff Smith of Spokane Washington USA, are the proud owners of this 1949 Dodge Wayfarer Sedan. It is powered by a built 440 with a 727 tranny. The front suspension is from a Mustang II and the paint is '99 dodge intense blue pearlcoat. Completely home built with the exception of the motor and the upholstery.

Pat Desrosiers, of Denver, Colorado USA did a "rolling restoration on his 1953 Cranbrook Club Coupe (shown above as it was in Sept. 2004 and at right as of 6/15/07) by working on sub assemblies and keeping the car road worthy as much as possible. Even with black primer and body work in progress, the made it to several shows. The floor, rockers and much of the outer body had to be redone. A nice looking job Pat! Now comes the payoff - you get to drive it and soak up those admiring glances.

Bob & Mary Ann Toft of Joplin, Missouri USA are the proud owners of this 1947 P15 Special DeLuxe convertible. The color is from a 1967 Ford - "Springtime Yellow". They have tricked it out with 1955 Chrysler wire wheels, an "a-oogah" horn, rabbits foot hanging on the mirror, headlight shades with ruby marbles that glow when the lights are on, twin spotlights, "dice" valve caps and a nifty bug deflector with a propeller on it "that paddles the bugs behind". The car was rescued from a garage on the premises of a salvage dealer in Springfield, MO in 1973 and been restored over the years. A popular car at shows and in parades, Bob often drives the Grand Marshal in their local Christmas parade. A fun car to drive and a treat for the eyes.

Charlie Sarant of Danielson, Connecticutt USA has a "thing" for 1953 Plymouths. Looking at his, it's not hard to see why. Charlie bought his first 53 Plymouth in 1971. He sold it in 1972 and has regretted it ever since - he even has had dreams about it. Then, on his 50th birthday, his good wife bought him the ultimate gift - a 1953 Cranbrook 4-Door Sedan. We should all have wives like that - and a few of us do.

Don Phelps, of Petaluma, California USA is justifiably proud of this fantastic (or is that "fintastic") 1957 Plymouth 2-Door Hardtop with a 341 Hemi (DeSoto), 4 barrel carb and a pushbutton torque flight tranny. He says he's about burnt out and this will be the last one - a good place to quit. He and his wife, Kaethe, have a 51 & a 50 also - a nice collection. They are linked from his registry entry.

Roger McClelland, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has had this 1952 Dodge Wayfarer since his High School days back in 1974. It had 3 colors of gray with red and black primer, plus lots of rust back then. He drove it all through school and it always had a dead battery. He would catch it in gear and off it would go. He did paint it a dark blue Dodge color but 20 years later he started to do it all over again. Roger did all the body work and had a good friend paint it in 1999 (a GM color - Dark Red Garnet). Still powered by the original 230 flat head, 3 speed Fluid Drive. Roger has put in 3.23/ 8 3/4" rear out of a 1966 Plymouth and it runs great on the open hi-way. Engine has never been rebuilt but smokes a little. Still 6-v but now with a dry cell battery.
Roger's boys wear T-Shirts that proclaim "My Dad owns a MOPAR and I'm next in line"

Steve & Rene Turner, of Kaysville, Utah own this 1953 Plymouth Club Coupe they call "Little Betty". Their goal is to replace the interior as close to original as possible. They are new to the hobby but want to share and learn what ever they can. "Little Betty" does run, and is in fine shape outside - just needs a little TLC inside.

I received the following email regarding the car pictured above.
"My name is Denis? I'm from Russia. I have a car - plymouth? but I didn't know anything about this car. i'll send you a photo of my car. please? if you can answer me a several questions: 1/ what year of that car? 2/ the modification of this car? Best regards, Пономарев "
My guess is that this is a what is left of a 1942 Plymouth that was sent to Russia in 1942/43/44 to be used as a military staff car - part of the "Lend-Lease" program wherein the US supplied a grundle of military weaponry & supplies to the USSR to help defeat Hitler's Nazi Germany.
What are your guesses?

Richard & Carol Tetzlaff of Scandia, MN are the proud owners of the above 1973 Fury 4 door Hard Top and 1936 P2 4 door Touring Sedan.
Richard, like many others wanted to have a car manufactured the year he was born and the 36 fills that role nicely. He credits Jack Schults from Medford MN for this car's fine condition.
He bought the 73 (because it has air conditioning) for the Plymouth Owners Club Coast-to-Coast run in 2004. The 73 also won "Best of Show" at the Plymouth Owners Club 2006 Spring Meet in Indianapolis.
Richard is also the Presidentof the Tall Pines Region of the Plymouth Owners Club.
