Fossil Cars
Fossil Cars is a website devoted to the buying and selling of antique/classic cars. An ad placed here will get much more exposure than one on this page (but you gotta admit the price is right here). Click on the link above to go to Fossil Cars' website. Good Luck to you.

Here's a Link to "Oldride" a Classic Car Classifieds website. I haven't tried these folks. Please let me know what you think of them. - Bill (1/10/2005)

FRAUD ALERT - I received the following from Pat Bass who had a couple of cars listed (now sold):

"I wish you to be aware of a person named Xien from Amsterdam-e-mail xienqu@yahoo.com. He e-mailed that he wanted to buy my cars. O.K. Well after a month of e-mails I received a bogus "Cashiers Check" supposedly from Wells Fargo. I took all e-mails and "check" to my bank which happens to be a Wells Fargo Bank. This fraud is thru the above person and also out of Crawford, Ga. - names being used there are Bill Jacobs and James Gainers. I am sending this note to you so you can be aware of this internet fraud."

Dave Wakefield also reports another similar scam where the "buyer" wanted to buy Dave's car for $1,000 and send him a certified check (that looked authentic)for $6,000. The scam was that they wanted him to return the difference ($5,000). Dave checked the "issuing" bank and confirmed his suspicion that the offer was a scam - wise move. Apparently the scammers used Google to find Dave's car on this website.

Bernie Smith, Don Haynam and Don Counard have both had a similar experience.

So - SELLERS BEWARE - WATCH FOR VARIATIONS OF THIS SCAM!!!

I haven't had a chance to see this car since it was redone but it was in such great shape when I saw it that you'd have to work hard to mess it up so I know it is a good one - not perfect but darn good.

Khris has found another car that she just has to have - same as her parents had when she was a kid (you know how that is).

I'd love to have this car myself but can't afford another garage. Somebody is going to get a honey in this one! - Bill

Don Phelps of Petaluma, California, has too many Plymouths (is there such a thing as too many Plymouths?) and needs to sell this great car. It's a daily driver, with new engine and trans, and a 355 posi 8 3/4 rear end.

Don's price is $10,500 OBO

1951 Plymouth Mike Kays says - "Asking $900 OBO. Obviously it has been sitting awhile, I think since the early 70's. I am not sure of the model but we think it is a Cranbrook. Most of the body panels are in good shape with mostly surface rust. I believe the left front panel has a few minor dents. Most of the chrome is in decent shape although the front bumper is dented. Some of the glass is solid although some is cracked. The interior is pretty rough, but everything is there. Some of the insignias, etc are damaged. The engine was running when it was parked, but obviously it will need some work, not sure of its condition now. Not sure if this is a 6 cylinder or 8 cylinder. Not sure on mileage. The wheels and tires are probably not original, and most of the tires are flat. Could be used for parts, but our hope is that someone will restore it. Buyer responsible for pick-up near Richland, MO 65556, or if shipped buyer must make arrangements. For questions contact Mike Kays at Hm: 417-589-4243 Cell: 417-531-4051 or email Mike at: kayskozykorner@yahoo.com "

Ray & Angelika Daniels write: "We have a 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook, with 62,300 original miles. 2 door coup, with nearly perfect body and crome. Original windows and weather stripping, all hub caps, and all the guages are in working order. Could use a new wiring job since wires are old and deteriarated, but luckily everything still works. A new ignition switch, not original has been installed. A brake job would also be needed along with an interior job. The pink slip and registration are current. This car runs exceptionally well, better than any car I have ever driven. The Plymouth is all original, and has never been in an accident. It has an original paint job, which is in great shape. None of this is an exageration. Please view the photos, buyer will arrange pick up. We live in San Diego County, in Borrego Springs. Give us a call and we might work something out.
