Keith Turner of Marion, North Carolina USA is the proud owner to the 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe Club Coupe shown in the views below. This series of photos shows what a little love and care can do for a car after an accident. Keith says that he got hit in a church parking lot by a Lincoln Town Car. The Lincloln had a stuck throttle. Keith was careful in selecting parts to bring his car back up to excellent condition. He is grateful to have very understanding (and beautiful) wife Rita plus three wonderful daughters - Haley, Sarah and Kalynn whom he has dragged to every car show and Cruise-in around! Nice job Keith and family. The beautiful girl in the poodle skirt and 'bobbi sox' is Keith's daughter Sarah.
The final results of his repair & restoration are shown in the lower photos of this page - definitely worth a visit.

The four photos below show Keith's coupe after repair. It takes more than a Ford to knock out this Plymouth. Good Job!!!

On the build up of the car after the accident, Keith sez - "I did all the work on the car myself, with the exception of spraying the paint. A friend did that for me. And the white tuck and roll upholstery, however I did remove and reinstall the interior myself. I did all the body work as well as replacing the upper and lower control arms, the spindle, and of course the glass, rubber and felt. I also buffed and polished all the stainless, with the exception of 2 pieces I had to have straightened. I was also lucky enough to come by a set of original 1957 Dodge Lancer hubcaps. The Fender skirts are fiberglass, but fit great! Since these pictures I have added spotlights and lowered the rear 2 inches. Future plans call for a 12 volt conversion (I am kind of worried about the whole positive ground thing), dual exhaust and flame throwers."
"I've gone to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to the Rod Run every year since I've had the car (actually it is twice a year) and I've only seen two other 50 Plymouths in 5 years! So its great to see other Plymouths and get your own ideas and appreciate what others have done."
